What our programme achieved

The Torchbox team told us that our programme achieved 3 key outcomes:

Improved pitch success

Using techniques from the programme, the team turned around a large pitch that was going badly. They established trust and won the work.

Created bonds within the team

Everyone came together for a shared learning experience. They discovered things about themselves and each other to strengthen their relationships.

Reduced reliance on the senior team

Everyone stepped up. Taking more responsibility and asking for help less. Freeing up the senior team.

As well as this, the programme set a benchmark for what ‘really good’ looked like and established a culture of coaching within Torchbox. And efficient and effective meetings became the norm.

What happened

Olly Willans (Founder) and James Leavesly (CEO) attended one of our taster sessions. They liked what we they saw, so…

  1. We ran another taster session for a few members of the Torchbox team to get broader buy-in. We then ran our onboarding workshop so they were set up to embed their learnings back into the business.
  2. We kicked off the programme with 50 team members from across the business. Everyone dialed in to a super-interactive training session every 2 weeks (no lectures and no slides) which followed our unique curriculum.
  3. We also did 1-on-1 coaching with the 5 members of the leadership team. They went through our Get CoachingTM programme to unlock potential and increase their self-awareness.
  4. We engaged with the cohort throughout, making sure people were able to translate their learnings into long-lasting behaviour change.
