But sometimes, you might. And you often won’t know you’re doing it.
Ask a few trusted people, “What do I do to negatively impact you?” and “What do I do to negatively impact others?”
Once you find out, start noticing when you do it.
Notice being late for meetings.
Notice being short with people.
Notice not giving others your full attention.
Acknowledge it. Tell others in the room you were doing that. Apologise.
It’s amazing the impact this has on your teammates. And it’s amazing how you’ll no longer do it.
