Praise motivates people. It reinforces good habits. It encourages more of the same behaviour.
But it’s ineffective if you only praise results.
Instead, notice the work that makes the result possible. Praise the effort, the choices and the intent. Be specific about what you saw and why it mattered.
People feel seen when their effort is recognised. They stay motivated, build confidence and give even more next time.
