Unless you can say that:
- The meeting objective is for people to solve a problem
- It’s likely that many people will have actions
– and/or – - It’s a complex discussion about a contentious topic with high levels of subjectivity
But if you can’t say yes, don’t have a meeting.
Send an email or a Teams/Slack message instead. You might actually achieve your objective more quickly and efficiently.
And you’ll be giving time back to your colleagues to actually do their work. Which can only be a good thing.
