But tone can be misleading.
People are influenced by pressure, workload and whatever else they’re dealing with.
So instead of reacting to the delivery, focus on the message. Ask yourself what they’re actually saying.
If you react to tone, conversations can escalate unnecessarily. But if you focus on content, you’re far more likely to move things forward.
