Give them positive feedback. Lots of it. Very frequently.
Do this for people in your team, your peers, your bosses and your clients.
Notice the things they do. Notice the effort they put in. Notice the sacrifices they make.
Then, tell them what you’ve noticed. Go into lots of detail on what you think they’ve done, what they’ve given up and the hurdles they’ve overcome.
It’s nice to be recognised for big achievements now and then.
But it’s deeply rewarding to be praised for the effort and good intentions you have every single day.
